Theodor de Bry

Engraver and publisher of famous books, “Grands Voyages” and “Petit Voyages” which brought a European audience descriptions of the new world and the Far East with illustrative plates often after first-hand witness depictions and accounts. “Grands Voyages” grew to 30 volumes, later works published posthumously by De Bry’s children.
