The images, grouped by location, generally show architectural and scenic views. Images include scenes from Calcutta (3), Darjeeling (2), Benaras (4), Lucknow (8), Cawnpore (4), Gwalior (2), Agra including views of Taj (15).
a) Album titled Feb 24th to May 9th, 1891, India. Calcutta with albumen prints mounted on card and captioned in black and red ink on mounts in the same unknown hand, a total of forty photographs with one per page on 20 pages and mounted back-to-back.
b) Album of Ceylon with Albumen prints mounted on card and captioned in black and red ink on mounts in the same unknown hand, a total of twenty-nine photographs with one per page.”

Set of 2 Albums with 68 Photographs in total. Album size: 31.5 x 43 x 3.5 cm. Later half leather bound with marbled boards with four raised bands and gilt title text on the spine.

Condition: Some scuffing and wear to the covers, a good copy.
