This volume covers the artist’s lithographs from 1922 to 1957. It is part of a larger six-volume series published between 1960 and 1986. This copy is signed by Marc Chagall, dated 1964. This copy accompanies a handwritten letter from the recipient explaining their personal connection to the artist, how they acquired the artist’s painting while in New York in 1952, and their signature on the book.
Unlike most art books that contain reproductions, the first edition of this volume includes 12 original lithographs created specifically for this publication. These “book lithographs” are considered original works of art by collectors.

Binding: Original cloth with a lithograph-illustrated dust jacket.
Condition: Minor chipping along the edges of the dust jacket. Minor rubbing on the extremities. A clean copy overall.
