Giving a Large Account of that city, and its inhabitants, and of the English Factory there. Ovington sailed as Chaplain of an East India Co. ship and remained in Bombay and Surat, giving excellent descriptions of both cities and particularly of the Mughal administration of the region.

First Edition. 20 x 12 cm. Includes 2 folding engraved plates and a folding table.

Binding: Early 20th-century calf gilt by C. Smith.

Condition: Edges bumped, re-backed spine, and extremities rubbed. Sporadic light foxing in the first half of the book. A good condition copy for the age.
