A set of 2 Volumes. The books provide a detailed historical background of the numerous small hill kingdoms located in the regions now encompassing Himachal Pradesh and parts of Jammu and Kashmir. It delves into the history of states such as Kangra, Guler, Jaswan, Siba, Datarpur, Nurpur, Chamba, Suket, Mandi, Kullu, Lahul, Spiti, and more.
It’s a two-volume work, and the content was initially published as separate articles in the “Journal of the Panjab Historical Society”. The book includes seven appendices, which feature extracts from treaties and descriptions of the death ceremonies of the hill kings.
First Edition of 2 volumes. A limited number of 500 copies was published. Contains a fold-out map in vol. 2
Binding: Brown clothbound with title on spine.
