Mecham joined the 52nd Madras Native Infantry on the 9th of March 1849 at Vellore. The Siege of Lucknow was a prolonged defense of the Residency within the city of Lucknow during the Indian Rebellion of 1857.
Description
57 x 38 cm. 27 tinted lithograph plates (including title-page) after Mecham, on 17 leaves.
Binding: Originally cloth-bound in dark-brown with gilt lettering on spine and front cover, with a new spine.
Condition: Corners bumped and repaired. The plates have been cleaned and restored. a clean copy.
